Teenz Connect!

Morning anyouameh-kay!

So ystd I went to this event TEENZ CONNECT by (duh) teenz. Its a magazine catered mainly to the youths here in Nepal. I participated to help a real close friend out since there weren't enuff girls for it. Friend in need, friend indeed right?  The main objective of this event was to get youths out of the virtual world. Fair enuff, I mean we honestly do tend to only confine ourselves to facebook. Innit?

Anyhoo, so... This is how th event worked. 15 boys and 15 girls. Each girl has 5mins with a boy. In short, its like Speed Dating. FYI, its th first time in Nepal!! Way to go Teenz. After meeting everyone, girls would have to rate boys (and vice versa) according to our connectivity level. 1 being th lowest and 5 being th highest. The girl and boy who gets th higest points would be MR and MS TEENZ CONNECT. Winners would get a 3000rs food vouchers and a fashion spread in their magazine. To be honest, I felt like I was in the Nepali verison of the reality show Splitsvilla man!!
I was nervous initially. I was wondering what if th guys are too rude, or if im too talkative or if thr'd be awkward silences!! So the first person came, he was ok. Quite nice. The cycle repeated. Boy after boy. (*Note : No flirtatious-ness on my end. Loyallover alert.) I just wanted to make sure they had a good laugh and I was friendly nuff to make em' feel comfortable, which I *hope* I succeeded in.

So after refreshments, back to the event. They announced the results. Guess what? I didn't win. :( Just kidding. I WONNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!! Wooooohoooooo!! I was like super happy man!!!!! Even tho th prize isn't that much, even tho this isnt the olympics. Anyone will be happy regardless of what they win right???? Be it a card game, be it a friendly soccer match, be it aN all you can eat contest. You can't help but be happy if you win right? Ok I think this is as clear as I can get people. So me and this guy, Nischhal Pradhan won. :) But th catch was we had to go tghr of which I had no friggin idea. =.=

Anyhoo, overall it was a new experience for me. And it was way funner than expected though I was very tired after conversing w each for so long. 5mins is long ok! when its w a stranger!

As for today, I have a smalllllll video shoot later in th afternoon. Even then I feel so nervous. :S God gimme the strength like you've always done! Thank you so much!

My my, what a wordy post. I ain't got pics to upload. No actually I do, But my laptop at home is currently not working. Yes I am blogging from work. He he he :P
