Miss Nepal 2012!

Yes!! Thank goodness the line came on time yesterday night & I did manage to catch the live Miss Nepal tho I missed the introductory rounds.

I have to admit the girls were looking absolutely beautiful. One thing that caught my eye instantly was THE GOWNS! Each piece was different and made to cater to each contestant. The material used seemed very classy and chic. Intricate yet very pretty details on each dress. Very impressive! It seemed like a huge leap as compared to the dresses from last years Miss Nepal. So trust me when I say this, they were that pretty that it might actually urge you to participate next year! Kudos to the team behind Miss Nepal for achieving the Beauty criteria of this pageant.

Another highlight for me. Malina Joshi- Miss Nepal 2011 gave a really nice farewell speech. Nice choice of words, a tad bit of humour and with immense gratitude. Impressed! Cuss I was never a fan. Im glad she did justice to her tittle.

Moving on. In all honesty, I was am rather disappointed in the 'Brain' criteria. I had such high expectations from these girls. I expected them to give smart answers. Answers which had depth. Answers which would reflect their maturity in thought. And to be radiating with confidence and maintain poise while answering. Not just some 'Yes/No' replies. Questions were tough I admit but even those easy peasy ones weren't done justice. Ahs and Umms do nth but put a question mark on your confidence/personality, I feel. Most answers given by the contestants left me with a disheartening sigh. Only a few received a neutral nod maybe?

If I have to pick out a name, I think the 2nd runner up - Subekshya Khadka was a better one. She was smiling, exploding with confidence! This is a very commendable quality. To be able to maintain your poise despite the major nerves. Then comes 1st runner up - Nagma Shrestha. Hmmm.. She gave diplomatic answers. I dno why but I feel shes gna be the kind of beauty queen our citizens will simply adore. I guess its her.... charm? Not forgetting the victorious Miss Nepal 2012 - Shristi Shrestha. Oh my. (faints*) What a beautiful lady. Looked like a perfect doll. I dno about you, but I think she swept the hearts of million boys of our nation. There was just something about her I feel that made her seem really humble. Her smile? Her reaction after winning? Just sth.

After watching Miss Nepal, oh how I just wished God gave me a few inches more. I feel like participating too. I wna go out there. See how I will fare. Too see if I have what it takes. Test my nerves and my brain. I would love to show the world who I am. If only I had a feeeeew inches more. I would participate and make sure this time round, I get the major crown. Waiiiiiiii oh waiiiiiiiii must thr be international standards and the whole 5'4 criteria? Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Anyhoo, I bet this girls are super excited right now. Huge congratulations! I wish em' all the veryveryvery best and to always carry the honor of their tittle. Lastly, bring home some international crowns too eh? Besta luck girls.

1st Runner up- Nagma MISS NEPAL- Shristi 2nd Runner up- Subekshya.
